With the COMPUTHERM KonvekPRO controller, you can easily implement automatic, programmable heating of a room equipped with a gas convector. The product also allows you to control the convector from anywhere using a Wi-Fi thermostat.

The COMPUTHERM KonvekPRO gas heater controller is able to control the vast majority of gas heaters available on the Polish market. It can be easily connected to any gas heater that regulates its operation using a removable gas heater thermostat probe (a copper insert containing an expanding liquid connected to the thermostat by means of a capillary). In order to create a control system, a two-wire room thermostat should be connected to the device. On request, the device can be controlled by integration with a smart home system. By heating the gas heater probe, it "cheat[s]" the gas valve of the heater, which turns off and does not heat.

Principle of operation of the gas convector controller

When the room temperature drops below the value set on the room thermostat, KonvekPRO, based on the signal received from the room thermostat, stops heating the pipe thermostat of the gas heater, which cools (for 3-6 minutes) below the temperature set by the gas heater control knob so that the gas heater turns on and starts heating. When the room temperature reaches the value set on the room thermostat, the room thermostat sends a signal to KonvekPRO to heat (for 1-1.5 minutes) the pipe thermostat above the value set by the gas heater control knob and the gas heater stops heating. Using KonvekPRO, you can easily set an automatic programmed heating system in the room heated by the heater. In addition, this product allows remote control of gas heaters using a Wi-Fi thermostat. With this product, you can save a significant amount of energy, as well as improve comfort. We designed KonvekPRO only for gas heaters. However, the device can work with gas heaters from several manufacturers that contain a pipe thermostat (CR6 or EUROSIT 630 gas valve) similar to the FÉG type thermostat. A single thermostat can control more than one gas heater and as many KonvekPRO devices as gas heaters you want to control. If you want to control your heating, you need one wireless room thermostat for the entire system and only 1 wireless receiver for each gas heater.

Separate temperature programs can be created for each day of the week. For each day, in addition to 1 fixed switching time, you can set 6 adjustable switching times and assign a different temperature to all 7 switching times. There are 4 different options for temporarily changing the temperature specified in the program: until the next change in the program, for a period of 1 to 9 hours, for a period of 1 to 99 days and until the next manual intervention. It also allows you to select the switching sensitivity, calibrate the thermometer, activate the pump protection function, switch between heating and cooling mode and lock the control buttons.
