Evaporative COOLING PAD, wet wall (type 5090)
Leave feedback on the product
Among the evaporative media used in adiabatic cooling systems, cellulose pads/panels are the most efficient. Their advantage over plastic pads stems from their stable and rigid structure. The dense, corrugated form of the cellulose pad increases the surface area of contact between water and air, distributes water evenly throughout the pad and increases water absorption. As a result, evaporation efficiency increases by an average of 30% over the course of a season.

The cellulose insert/panel consists of regular sheets with high wettability and water absorption properties, saturated with special chemicals to increase strength and durability. The uniform and dense structure of the insert makes the air-water interface more efficient in the cellulose pad compared to plastic inserts.
In the 5090 series, corrugated cellulose sheets with a corrugation height of 5 mm are stacked on top of each other, and the corrugation direction of two adjacent sheets forms a 90° angle (45/45) with each other.

Due to its medium density, this series achieves a balance between evaporation efficiency and pressure drop at high evaporation rates. It features a water distributor, ensuring that the pad (cartridge) is evenly moistened and achieves maximum evaporation efficiency. We supply panels in a variety of sizes to meet customer requirements.
Advantages of cellulose pad:
- absorb large amounts of water, maximising the evaporation surface
- provide a large surface area for air to come into contact with water, improving heat exchange and cooling efficiency
- the structure prevents water droplets, dust and harmful bacteria from entering the air stream
- they have a low level of limescale build-up
- resin impregnation prevents the growth of fungi, algae and the migration of harmful respiratory bacteria
- easy to install, use and clean
- low purchase and operating costs
- recyclable
A key complementary element for ensuring the supply and drainage of water to moisten cellulose walls in evaporative cooling systems is a galvanised steel or aluminium frame.
The frame is easy and precise to install, clearly visible and therefore quickly accessible for inspection and maintenance, allows for even water distribution, which increases efficiency and extends the life of the cellulose cartridge, and has a large capacity thanks to the bottom gutter (large water storage capacity reduces the number of water drains). The product is available on individual customer order (in specific dimensions).
